Accommodation, arrival and your stay in Istria

Arrival and departure

When can I check in and what do I need on arrival?

On your arrival day, your booked accommodation is available from 16:00, and the usual check-in time is between 16:00 and 20:00. If you arrive earlier, the accommodation may not yet be ready. If, for any reason, you expect to arrive late in the evening or at night, please inform the Istra-holiday representative or the property owner using the telephone number provided with your travel documents and directions to the accommodation.

On arrival, you will be asked to briefly hand your passport or identity card to the Istra-holiday representative or property owner so they can complete the legally required guest registration.

What time do I need to check out?

On your departure day, you must leave the accommodation in a reasonable condition by 10:00 at the latest, so it can be thoroughly cleaned and prepared for the next guests. If you plan to leave early in the morning, please inform Istra-holiday or the property owner.

Prices and payments

What is included in the accommodation price?

The price calculation on this website covers accommodation in the selected property for the number of days requested. In addition to accommodation, the prices include normal electricity consumption, heating in winter and air conditioning in summer (where available), water consumption, gas consumption (where available), final cleaning, bed linen, bathroom towels and tourist tax. Any additional services ordered locally, such as grocery delivery, pool heating or bicycle hire, are payable directly to the property owner.

At check-in, the property owner may request a security deposit if this is stated in the property description. The deposit will be refunded on departure after the accommodation has been inspected and no damage has been found.

Is tourist tax included in the price?

Under Croatian law, every foreign visitor staying in the Republic of Croatia must pay a daily tourist tax to the tourist board of the place where they are staying. Tourist tax is included in the prices shown on this website.

How do I pay the security deposit and when is it returned?

The security deposit, if specified in your booking confirmation, must be paid in cash when checking into the house or apartment. It serves as security for any damage caused by improper use of the accommodation. If you refuse to pay the security deposit, you will not receive the keys to the property. The deposit will be returned on departure once the property has been checked and no damage has been found.

Accommodation and your stay

What equipment is provided and what should I bring?

All accommodation in our range (except individual rooms without a kitchen) is fully equipped and includes a kitchen or kitchenette with a hob (and, in some cases, an oven), a refrigerator, crockery and cutlery for the stated number of guests, and cooking pots. Electrical appliances such as mixers and toasters are generally not provided unless stated in the description. All accommodation includes pillows, blankets, bed linen and bathroom towels. Bed linen is changed once a week, while towels (two per person) are usually changed twice a week. If you have allergies, we recommend bringing your own blanket and choosing accommodation that does not allow pets. Tea towels, tablecloths, cleaning products, washing-up sponges, kitchen paper and toilet paper are not included in the equipment provided, although one roll of toilet paper will be available on arrival. If air conditioning is listed in the property description, it is usually located in the living area. Garden furniture usually means a plastic table and chairs; sun loungers are generally not included as standard garden furniture. Single beds are usually 70 – 90 cm wide and 180 – 200 cm long, while double beds are the same length but 140 – 180 cm wide. An extra bed in the living area is usually a sofa bed. Please report any shortcomings in the accommodation immediately to the property owner or a Kety Travel representative.

Which television channels are available?

SAT-TV: The satellite dish is usually set up to receive foreign television channels. Any additional adjustments and associated costs must be agreed with the property owner. Any adjustment costs are payable by the guest.

Is Wi-Fi included in the price?

INTERNET: Where internet access is available at the property, this is usually a wireless Wi-Fi connection, the use of which is included in the accommodation price.

How are the listed distances calculated?

Distances stated in our descriptions are measured in a straight line from the accommodation. In practice, this may mean that the beach or nearest shop is slightly further away than the distance shown here.

Can I bring my pet?

Each property in our range states whether pets are allowed. If you are bringing pets (a maximum of 2), please let us know when booking and specify their breed and size. A fee of 5,00 € – 15,00 € per day per pet is payable locally to the property owner.

Can I have visitors at the accommodation?

Under Croatian law, any visitors to your accommodation must be reported to the property owner in advance. Please bear in mind that the owner has the right to ask anyone who has not been properly registered to leave the property.

Can I request a specific apartment or special arrangements?

We will accept special requests, such as a particular apartment number or two apartments next to each other, and will make every effort to fulfil them. However, if a request cannot be fulfilled, Kety Travel cannot be held responsible, and such requests do not form part of the contract. Please note that only the descriptions and information published on this website form part of the contract. Information provided verbally without written confirmation is not legally binding and does not form part of the contract.
